SANASA Federation Commemorates International Women’s Day 2026 and Establishes National Women’s Committee

The SANASA Federation celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, with a dignified ceremony held at the Federation headquarters.
A significant milestone was reached during the event with the election of the board of officials for the newly formed National Women’s Committee. This initiative, composed of representatives from various SANASA primary societies and unions, marks a formal step toward empowering women within the movement.
The program also featured two educational awareness sessions specifically designed for the participating women members.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Chairman of the SANASA Federation, Dr. L.B. Dasanayake. Other key officials in attendance included Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sumith Nishantha and Deputy General Manager (Administration & Technology) Mr. Indunil Chathuranga.
