A special discussion meeting was held in Kilinochchi on 18.06.2026 under the patronage of the Chairman of the SANASA Federation to prepare development plans for the Northern and Eastern provinces.

Representatives of various SANASA societies representing the Northern and Eastern regions participated in this meeting, as did the Honorable Chairman of the SANASA Federation, Dr. L.B. Dassanayake, Honorable Director, N.P.P. Punchi Hewa, Chief Executive Officer, A. B. Sumith Nishantha and officers of the Executive Committee.

Special attention was given to the importance of the SANASA societies in those areas preparing and implementing development plans that suit the needs of the people in those areas. It was also decided that the SANASA Federation would provide the necessary advice and technical guidance for that purpose.
